Indeed, as in 2010 when it organized the tournament, Germany plans to relocate its first meeting to the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, the home of FC Schalke 04. And Switzerland is one of the candidates for this special meeting.

For this world championship, Switzerland is part of group A, which will be based in Düsseldorf, with Germany, Sweden, Latvia, Austria, Slovenia, Ukraine and Finland, against whom it lost the final of the 2026 World Cup a few days ago. The Group B matches will take place in Mannheim.

The tournament will be held from May 14 to 30, 2027 and the semi-finals and final will take place in Düsseldorf.
