Patrick Bruel’s police custody extended by 24 hours

The Nanterre public prosecutor’s office indicated this Tuesday morning that Patrick Bruel’s police custody was extended for a period of 24 hours. The 67-year-old singer has been detained by the Paris judicial police since Monday morning as part of the investigation targeting him.

Accused of rape and sexual violence, the French artist, who disputes the facts with which he is accused and who benefits from the presumption of innocence, is questioned by investigators on facts involving 13 alleged victims.

Patrick Bruel’s custody will end on Wednesday. At the end of this, he will either be released and released without prosecution, or brought before a magistrate for the continuation of the procedure. Namely: an indictment.
