A legend of Swiss skiing in the 1970s, “la Colombe” as he was nicknamed, was known for his humor and his own way of approaching races and high-level competition.

Nicknamed “La Colombe”, this native of Val de Bagnes has climbed to the highest step of the podium in the World Cup eight times and eleven times in the other two. He also won a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Sapporo (Japan) in 1972. His record also included two World Cup downhill globes in 1973 and 1974.
