Accused by around thirty women of sexual violence and targeted by rape investigations, Patrick Bruel will not be part of the next Enfoirés show.

“We can confirm to you that Patrick Bruel will not be part of the Enfoirés troupe next January,” the organization said on Thursday evening. Mediapartwhich reveals the information.

According to the Enfoirés website, the singer and actor is more than a regular, he has participated 33 times in shows for the benefit of Restos du coeur and performed 226 songs.

But since last March, writes Mediapart, “the Enfoirés have been mentioned in half a dozen testimonies published in the press, because the singer met or invited many women during tours of the famous TF1 show.” Among these testimonies, we find that of a Romande, who described him as a “predator”.

According to information from RTL now confirmed by AFP, it was Bruel who made the decision. “Patrick Bruel has decided not to participate in the next shows so as not to embarrass the association of Restos du coeur and the Enfoirés,” confirmed Anne Marcassus, artistic director of the shows.

RTL discloses the text sent by the singer. “Hello everyone, given the circumstances, I have decided not to put any of you in any embarrassment. So I wanted to tell you, with great sadness, that I will not be with you next January, as has been the case for 34 years. I hope to find you again when justice has proven my innocence,” he wrote.

No longer broadcast on RFM

Also in France, according to information from “Parisien”, RFM has decided to remove Bruel’s songs from its playlist and Nostalgie is also considering a temporary withdrawal. On television, the question arises less, but Nagui removed the singer’s titles from the catalog of “Don’t forget the lyrics”, as he had done in the past for Bertrand Cantat or Jean-Luc Lahaye.

In Switzerland, Patrick Bruel is still scheduled for the Pully Live Festival on June 25. But the pressure is increasing. On Thursday, the town’s trustee, Gil Reichen, told “Temps” of his hope that the singer would cancel himself.
