From works by Banksy to scenarios from the famous “Friends” series, dozens of objects that belonged to Matthew Perry will be put up for auction in June in the United States.

The actor, who played the role of Chandler Bing in “Friends”, was found dead in 2023 at the age of 54, after speaking publicly about his addiction problems.

He was taking ketamine supervised as part of therapy sessions for depression. But this legal anesthetic is sometimes diverted for stimulating or euphoric purposes and Matthew Perry fell back into addiction in the fall of 2023, according to the investigation.

Some 130 lots of objects are up for auction, including his favorite watch, childhood memories, works of art by the artist Banksy and even scripts for “Friends”.

“It’s a mix of all kinds of objects from the actor’s life,” said Roberta Kramer of Heritage Auctions, which is handling the sale.

“Things related to his work in + Friends + and other series and films, but also a lot of very personal things, from his childhood to adulthood,” she added.

This auction aims to raise funds for the Matthew Perry Foundation, an organization that helps people suffering from addiction.

According to Roberta Kramer, the actor created his foundation in order to use his “fame and his experience with drug addiction to help other people.”

Several people have been convicted for the actor’s death, including Jasveen Sangha, a trafficker nicknamed “the ketamine queen” who supplied the drug to Matthew Perry.

The auction will take place on June 5.
