In this fourth act, Friborg arrived with a bang and showed itself to be ultra dominant. However, it was Davos who was able to open the scoring in the fifth minute, with a very good sense of opportunism from Parrée, who took advantage of a defensive error from Rathgeb. Emotions struggled to rise at the BCF Arena and the first third saw almost no stoppages in play. In the last 90 seconds, Knak and Streule received two minutes of penalties each for excessive harshness, but that did not ignite the ice.
The second third again saw Friborg dominate, but without the possibility of scoring. Davos roamed the ice passively and the third ended with three times as many shots for Freiburg as for Graubünden. But the Davosians maintained their lead. Special situations did not lead to any goals in this third, which saw two punishments against Davos (a collision by Barandun and a surplus) and one against Friborg (Seiler, for a collision).
The third period was a quiet one for Davos, who rebuilt their defense and spent a lot of time in front of Berra. The few counterattacks produced nothing, as Aeschlimann showed himself to be imperial, even after the crowd stood up, harangued by Captain Sprunger.
The Dragons therefore see Davos equalize in this stifling series, Act V of which is scheduled for Sunday evening (8 p.m.).
