“Traumatizing”: Michaël Youn recounts the home-jacking

Michaël Youn, his partner Isabelle Funaro and their two children were victims of a homejacking Monday morning, in their home near Aix-en-Provence. Two hooded men threatened them – one even allegedly targeted the couple’s teenage daughter – and made off with money, watches and jewelry.

The comedian first reacted in an Instagram story with a few jokes, like “Mask Singer, it’s useless, I guessed no one” under the hoods. This Tuesday, he then published a much less light text, returning to this necessarily shocking intrusion.

His message is titled “Everything is OK.” “Seeing, in a kitchen, children and chocolate madeleines coexisting with hooded guys and German shepherds who are celebrating them could almost have made me laugh in other circumstances. It could have ended so badly that I am frankly relieved today,” writes Michaël Youn.

The comedian and actor also wanted to correct information that may have been put forward in certain media. “The circumstances are already sufficiently traumatic to not have to exaggerate them: there was no physical violence, only an armed threat (a gun is already quite good)”

The Frenchman adds that the amount of the robbery, which had been estimated by newspapers at 100,000 euros, is much lower. And he attacks the media who gave his exact address or published images from his portal.

“The children are fine. Thank you for all your support and love. Small and big adventures of life. Kisses,” he concludes.
