The races of significant interest when it comes to the mail-in and provisional counts include:

County Commissioner District 3 (Republican Primary): Tom Gordon currently leads Marsha Herbert by 139 votes. This race is likely to be decided by the mail-in and provisional counts. The winner of this race will face (D) Zach Hands in the General Election.

Maryland State Delegate District 5 (Republican Primary): It looks like Rose and Tomlinson have two of the seats locked up. The race for the third seat is close between Bouchat and Taylor (Bouchat currently has a 31 vote lead for the third delegate seat).

Board of Education: The six candidates moving forward to the general election is not in question (Battaglia, Dorsey, Jozkowski, Miller, Scanlan and Whisler). What will be interesting to watch is the final vote totals (from Democratic, Republican and other ballots) and which candidates move forward as the favorites in November.
