Information from Westminster Police Department on May 4th:
The Westminster Police Department is aware of a “social media challenge” which involves shooting water pellets from a water gun at pedestrians. The police department has taken one report of this activity with unknown individuals. While no injury occurred as a result of this activity, this may still be considered an assault when the recipient is not a consenting party. It can also present a danger to those involved and a distraction to drivers. We are asking parents to have a deterrence discussion with their children.
