FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE ENDORSES SHOEMAKER FOR STATE’S ATTORNEY

On Sunday, March 20, 2022, Carroll County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 20, Carroll County’s largest law enforcement organization comprised of over 300 members, announces its enforcement of Haven Shoemaker in the July Republican primary.  In a social media post, the Lodge said the following:

Carroll County FOP Lodge 20 is pleased to announce its endorsement of Haven Shoemaker for Carroll County State’s Attorney.

Members of Lodge 20 invited candidates for the position of State’s Attorney to share their goals, plans, and views on prosecuting crimes in Carroll County. After hearing from the candidates, members were given the opportunity to vote for who the lodge should endorse. This vote resulted in Haven Shoemaker receiving our endorsement for Carroll County State’s Attorney.

Haven Shoemaker has been involved in Criminal Court Proceedings for almost 30 years. He is familiar with Carroll County Court proceedings, current prosecutors in the office, and county law enforcement. Haven Shoemaker has also served as Mayor of Hampstead, Carroll County Commissioner, and Carroll County Delegate. He has always supported law enforcement in this county while serving in those positions and his experience both in the courts and in the political arena will assist him in the position of State’s Attorney.

Vote Haven Shoemaker for Carroll County State’s Attorney on July 19th.

Shoemaker expressed that he was “extremely proud and humbled to receive the endorsement of Carroll County’s brave men and women of law enforcement.”  In the realm of law endorsement, Shoemaker has been endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police, Sheriff Jim DeWees and State’s Attorney Allan Culver.
