The Swiss team has been the source of many jokes in recent days on the sidelines of the 2026 World Cup which is being held in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Between his green jersey inspired by the passport, his training camp infested by rattlesnakes and his chicken, with Canada, Qatar and Bosnia-Herzegovina, which is nicknamed the “diagonal void group” as the posters are soporific, except for people from one of the four countries.
The French television channel has chosen another way to make fun of the Swiss team in its humorous series “Scènes de households”. She opted for an angle that is always very salesy and easy to get into when it comes to Switzerland: money.
In the mini-sketch broadcast a few days before the World Cup, we see Philippe, played by Grégoire Bonnet, telling his partner Camille (Amélie Etasse) that he has invited the neighbors, even though they don’t like football, to watch the Nati match.
“He who doesn’t jump isn’t armored, hey!”
“It’s Qatar-Switzerland. This is the financial shock of the World Cup. It’s Cashico. It’s petrodollars against gold bars,” lists Philippe. Then when the neighbors arrive, the group begins to chant: “Go money go, go money go. He who doesn’t jump isn’t armored, hey!”
Some people find this very funny in the comments, others wonder if it’s humor. In any case, this “Cashico” will take place this Saturday at 9 p.m. and will mark the entry into contention of the Swiss team in this 2026 World Cup.
