These are only a few lines, but they are enough to remove the lead that had been weighing down for four days. “According to doctors, Noah’s condition is stable and no longer critical. He will continue to be closely monitored in the intensive care unit.”

This Wednesday, the CIP Green Power team communicated reassuring news about its young rider Noah Dettwiler (20 years old), seriously injured on Sunday before the start of the Malaysian Moto3 Grand Prix.

The Solothurn resident is therefore out of danger after fearing for his life. Affected in the spleen as well as the lungs and suffering from an open fracture in the leg, he suffered several cardiac arrests and lost a lot of blood, his father, Andy Dettwiler, reported to the “Blick”.

On Tuesday, his team announced that he had “undergone several surgical procedures in recent hours, which went well”, while adding that he was in a “stable but still critical condition”.

On Sunday, Noah Dettwiler was driving slowly during the warm-up lap when he was hit from behind at full speed by Spaniard José Antonio Rueda, freshly minted Moto3 world champion. Thrown from his mount, the Swiss remained inert on the ground, before receiving first aid and then being transported to Kuala Lumpur hospital.

Also off the track and hospitalized, José Antonio Rueda suffered a broken hand and a major concussion.
