The stage outfit worn by Madonna during her surprise appearance with Sabrina Carpenter at Coachella last weekend has gone missing, the pop legend has regretted, and is offering a reward to get the costume back.
“I discovered that the vintage pieces I was wearing had disappeared,” lamented the 67-year-old diva in a message posted on Instagram on Monday. The purple ensemble included a jacket, corset and dress, all from the singer’s personal collection.
“They are part of my story”
“These are not just clothes, they are part of my history,” insisted Madonna, adding that other pieces from the same era had also disappeared.
“I hope and pray that a kind soul will find these pieces and contact me,” she added, explaining that she would offer “a reward for their return in good condition.”
Madonna surprised the audience at Coachella on Friday by appearing alongside singer Sabrina Carpenter, twenty years after her first appearance on stage during this festival, which has become legendary in the United States.
The special duo performed two songs by the queen of pop: “Vogue” and “Like a Prayer”. A performance which came a few days after Madonna announced the release of a new album, “Confessions II”, expected on July 3.
