Announced by the Slate for Student Success account on Facebook on February 7th:

🚨ENDORSEMENT ALERT!🚨 We are thrilled and deeply honored to announce that Amanda Jozkowski for Carroll County Board of Education and Muri Lynn Dueppen for Board of Education have both received the endorsement of the Carroll County Education Association (CCEA) and the Carroll Association of School Employees, CASE. CCEA and CASE represent over 2000 educational employees — our teachers, counselors, and many other school staff who dedicate their lives to nurturing and empowering our students.

This endorsement is not just a recognition of our commitment to our schools and community, it symbolizes a shared vision for the future of education in Carroll County: putting students first, elevating and empowering educators, and staunchly supporting strong public schools. We aim to return calm and respectful leadership to the Board and limit harmful divisiveness that distracts from a focus on student success. We will also work to address escalating behavioral issues, improve compensation and work conditions to alleviate teacher overwhelm, and foster a climate of belonging for every student and family.

Thank you, CCEA and CASE, for your trust and support. We look forward to working with you!

Opinion: Honestly I do not believe that the announcement about this endorsement will be a shock or surprise to the community or candidates. I expect many more endorsements of candidates to come out after the filing deadline.

As a reminder: the filing deadline for candidates on February 9th.
