The Maryland State Board of Education has approved our Board’s request for a waiver to adjust the length of the 2022-2023 student school year by one day. Therefore, the last day of school for students will be Friday, June 9, 2023, with a two hour and forty-five minute dismissal systemwide.
The last day of school for CCPS students was originally scheduled to be June 15th (per the CCPS Calendar)
On April 13th the school system announced: Board of Education Requests Waiver for Last Day of School
- Carroll County Public Schools has used only one of the four inclement weather days built into the 2022-2023 school calendar, leaving three days unused and making the last day of school Monday, June 12th.
- At its meeting on Wednesday, April 12th, the Board of Education voted to request a waiver from the State Board of Education that would make the last day of school Friday, June 9th. The last day will be a two hour and forty-five minute dismissal systemwide.
- Further updates will be provided when a decision is received from the state.
