Carroll Community College (Carroll) and the Baltimore Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (JATC) have signed a new articulation agreement that will offer students a clear pathway to an associate’s degree after completing the JATC apprenticeship.

Maryland Senate: Education, Energy, and the Environment Committee will be discussing HB 119 on March 29th. This is also known as SB 199. Be sure to watch the outcome on this one.

A new Primary Election date in 2024 for Maryland approved by the House of Delegates. Still waiting to hear if this changes the filing deadline for candidates.

Any type of gas tax relief in Maryland seems unlikely in 2023 and beyond.

Local Education Agencies (LEAs) were required by law to submit a local Blueprint Implementation Plan by midnight on March 15, 2023, outlining how it intends to implement the major education reforms set by the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future (“The Blueprint”).
