RVFC responds to 9 Box Field Fire

On Saturday, February 13th (I am guessing this is a typo and they meant February 12th) at 9:04 PM, the Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a large field fire in the 1300 unit block of Arnold Road.

Engine 91 and Brush 95 arrived on scene via a remote farm road/ driveway to find a large field (approximately the size of a football field) with the parameters ablaze. Chief 9, Rescue Squad 9, and Utility 91 arrived minutes later to provide extra staffing.

Crews attacked the flames with water mixed with F500 and the fire via was declared extinguished at approximately 10 PM. The cause of the fire was a bonfire in the field that was not fully extinguished.

Mutual Aid for this incident was provided by Hampstead, Gamber and Westminster.

Thank you to Upperco Volunteer Fire Company for filing in at RVFC while we were on scene.

Units: ENGINE 91 BRUSH 95, RESCUE SQUAD 9, UTILITY 9-1, DUTY 9, CHIEF 9, PIO 9
