Gabriel Leon Guerrero, a student at Winters Mill High School, is among 125 high school musicians selected from across the nation to be members of the inaugural All-American D-Day Band in June 2023.

As musical ambassadors to France, the All-American D-Day Band will perform the ceremonial music for the officially recognized commemoration and wreath laying ceremonies at the Brittany and Normandy American Cemeteries and Memorials. In the historic village of Sainte-Mère-Église, the band will perform in the International Salute to Liberation and lead the D-Day Memorial Parade. Colonel Timothy J. Holtan is the music director for the D-Day Band.

Gabriel is a current sophomore at Winters Mill. This past year he also served as first chair trombone in the Carroll County All-County Band and the Maryland All State Senior Band.
