Candidate Information / Statement:

I am running for Carroll County Commissioner in the new District 2. I am currently serving as President of the Board of Education, finishing my four year elected term. As a life-long Carroll County resident, my experiences on the Board as well as my community involvement have well prepared me to step into the position of Commissioner. During my term on the Board of Education, I fought hard for the parents and students of this county. We were not afraid to make the hard decisions, keeping the academic achievement and social growth of the students as our first priorities. Working with fellow board members and staff, I realized I could bring those same skills and tenaciousness to the Board of Commissioners. As a commissioner, I bring substantial experience working with multi-million dollar budgets, a comprehensive understanding of construction and land use, and management expertise. I will be working for the citizens of the entire county. I’ve spent most of my life working in construction, with over 40 of those years as a corporate officer. For years, I have been a volunteer in this community that I love. With your help, I can take my skills to the Commissioner’s Office.
