Angelina Jolie turns a page. The 51-year-old actress sold her historic Los Angeles property for around 20.5 million francs, reports “TMZ”. An amount significantly lower than the 24.75 million she hoped to obtain when she put it up for sale in May.
Located in the Los Feliz district, the 1,020 m² residence once belonged to the famous director Cecil B. DeMille. It has six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a gym, a wine cellar, a swimming pool and a guest house.
Angelina Jolie bought the property in 2017 for around 20.3 million francs, a year after her separation from Brad Pitt. The sale comes as the actress no longer hides her desire to leave Los Angeles.
A new life far from the United States
In 2024, she explained to the “Hollywood Reporter” that she had stayed in the city mainly because of her divorce and her children. She then spoke of her need to find more “privacy, peace and security”.
His project has since become clearer. Angelina Jolie wants to spend more time abroad once her twins come of age. In an interview with “L’Officiel”, she described this change as “the end of a certain period” of her life.
However, the actress does not necessarily intend to replace Los Angeles with a new permanent residence. “I don’t really plan on having a base,” she said. She wants to maintain a family home where she can store memories and photos, while leading a “slightly nomadic” life for a while.
