“At the time, the question of vaccination against Covid-19 caused me great concern and gave rise to serious reservations in me. I felt a deep mistrust of the vaccine and I was plagued by anxiety and doubt,” Granit Xhaka said on his Instagram account. “It was in this troubled emotional state that I obtained a vaccination certificate (…). It was a mistake. I’m sorry,” he added.

The Nati will repair its two away matches against North Macedonia and Scotland until Friday. On October 3 and 6, the national team will face Slovenia and North Macedonia in Lucerne.
