British singer Rod Stewart, 81, has canceled the end of his US tour, including several concerts planned in Las Vegas, following heart surgery.
The author of the hit “Da ya think I’m sexy” underwent “successfully a routine procedure consisting of the installation of a coronary stent”, indicates a message published on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday on his Instagram account.
He will take “the next four weeks to rest and get back into full shape before returning to the stage,” it is also written. “Unfortunately, this means he will not be able to continue his current tour.”
The singer with a hoarse voice and wild blonde hair therefore had to cut short his tour in the United States and Mexico which was to last until September. He was notably scheduled to perform at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
“I already feel better and I am on the road to recovery,” Rod Stewart assured in the same message on Instagram.

The singer had already had to cancel several concerts in the United States for health reasons in May and June. He then mentioned sinusitis and laryngitis.
In June, he was put on oxygen during a concert in Utah and told the audience that he almost fainted, according to several media.
If he released one more album in 2024, “Swing Fever”, he had his peak in the 1970s and 1980s.
