“Today, I lost a brother that combat sport gave me.” It is with these words that UFC fighter Charles Oliveira paid tribute to his friend and compatriot Allan Nascimento, who died on Monday. The Brazilian died in his sleep, apparently following a heart attack. He was only 34 years old. “Despite the efforts of the medical team, he was pronounced dead at the scene,” communicated the official UFC Instagram account.
The sudden disappearance of “Puro Osso”, nicknamed so because of his great thinness as a teenager, caused great emotion in the MMA world. “Thank you for always being by my side, for sharing the mats and the ring with me. I am infinitely grateful to you for everything we have experienced together in training, in the cage and simply in your company,” continued Charles Oliveira.
Another Brazilian fighter wanted to write a few words on social networks to express his pain after this death. “He was one of the nicest fighters I have ever met! Polite, full of positive energy and always in a good mood! We will miss him. Rest in peace,” said Caio Borralho.
The kindness of Allan Nascimento was unanimous. “One of the kindest people I have ever met through MMA. Rest in peace, Allan,” wrote specialist journalist Evelyn Rodrigues.
Under contract with the UFC since 2021, Allan Nascimento has fought 29 fights for a record of 22 victories. His last appearance in a cage dates back to June. He lost to Mitch Raposo.
