A sunset and a pot of Nutella for the Orion crew

More than 57 years after the first image of an Earthrise taken by an Apollo 8 astronaut, their successors on Artemis II have immortalized an Earth setting behind the Moon, a photograph published Tuesday by NASA.

The crew is made up of Americans Reid Wiseman, Christina Koch and Victor Glover, as well as Canadian Jeremy Hansen.

The legendary photo of Apollo 8 was taken on December 24, 1968 by American Bill Anders during the first flight of the Moon by humans, with his compatriots Frank Borman and Jim Lovell.

And a few minutes before the crew broke the record for distance from Earth set by Apollo 13 in 1970, an unusual object was seen floating in the Orion cabin. A pot of Nutella: showing that you can be among the most qualified humans in the world and still love sweets.

A vision that obviously did not escape Nutella USA, which reposted the video writing: “Proud to have traveled further than any other cream spread in history, taking the spread of smiles to new heights.”
