Good news for the Swiss football team as the 2026 World Cup approaches in the United States, Mexico and Canada. The Breel Embolo case is closed.
The striker, who was unable to fly with his teammates on Tuesday and who had been stuck in Switzerland since due to an ESTA problem, saw his visa application accepted by the American authorities.
“We have just been informed that Breel Embolo’s visa has been approved,” the Swiss Football Association communicated on Thursday at 10:30 p.m. He will therefore be able to travel to the United States tomorrow, Friday. He is expected to rejoin the team Friday evening (US local time).”
Breel Embolo will thus arrive on American territory in time for the last preparation match of the Nati, this Saturday in San Diego, against Australia.
Murat Yakin’s selection will then begin its World Cup on June 13, in San Francisco, against Qatar. Before continuing on June 18 in Los Angeles against Bosnia-Herzegovina and June 24 in Vancouver against Canada
