Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company Responds to Serious Vehicle Collision on the Hampstead Bypass

Just after 8am on April 22nd Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company (HVFC) was alerted for a vehicle collision in the area of the Hampstead Bypass south traffic circle. The call was upgraded by Carroll County fire dispatch to a vehicle collision with entrapment while units were enroute.

Truck 2 and Paramedic 28 arrived on scene between the south and middle traffic circle to find an apparent two vehicle head on collision. Paramedic 28 advised there were three patients and no one was trapped. Truck 2 arrived and Chief 2-1 established command. Additional resources were requested including two MSP medevac helicopters. Three patients were transported via medevacs to trauma centers.

The Maryland State Police were on scene along with other allied police agencies and are handling the investigation.
