Here is a quick summary of two big happenings in Carroll County this week:

The Board of Education will meet this week – on Wednesday…and if you believe what you read on social media it may be a highly attended event. Why you ask…well the removal of inappropriate books, book bans (however you want to frame the issue) looks like that this ongoing local issue may draw in a number of people to that meeting on Wednesday afternoon.

Maryland State Department of Transportation will hold their meeting about the intersection changes – I refuse to call it improvements yet – on Thursday at 6:30pm at the library in Finksburg. Whether your are for this plan…against this plan…this is an important meeting to attend to get additional details and ask questions. I think a number of members from the community are planning to attend and maybe even an elected official or two.
