Mount Airy Police Department has seen a recent increase in automobile thefts in the area. Specifically targeting 2000’s model Ford Econoline Vans due to their lack of anti theft features. MAPD has taken two reports of stolen vehicles in the last two days one in the 600 Block of Prospect Rd and another in the 400 Block of N Main St.
