As Maryland continues to see all time highs in gas prices the Carroll County Observer will once again begin to track the prices for local residents. This will be a weekly tracking article on The Observer with the following information:
- Average gas prices in the US
- Average gas prices in Maryland
- Average gas prices in Carroll County
- Jurisdictions with the highest gas prices and the lowest gas prices
Note: all prices are of Regular gas as noted on the AAA website

- Highest: Montgomery County at $4.553
- Lowest: Washington County at $4.300
Items of note:
- The price of $4.435 on May 14th is the “Highest Recorded Average Price” of regular gas in Maryland.
