Sahithya Sudhakar, a sophomore at Liberty High School, was elected by the high school students of Carroll County Public Schools to serve as the Carroll County Student Government Association (CCSGA) Student Representative on the Board-Elect for the 2022-2023 school year. Sahithya will shadow the Student Representative on the Board during the next school year prior to serving in that position during the 2023-2024 school year.

The CCSGA held the primary election for Student Representative on the Board-Elect in February. Representatives from the high school Student Government Associations voted to select two candidates to advance to the general election. On Monday, April 11, all high school students had the opportunity to view a video of the final two candidates’ speeches and question and answer session prior to voting for the candidate of their choice.
