18-year-old twin brothers were indicted on Tuesday after the discovery on Sunday of the body of their father, killed by several stab wounds at his home in Lorient, the prosecution announced.
The two young men are being prosecuted for “murder” and “complicity in murder” against their father, aged 61, victim of “several stab wounds to the thorax and abdomen,” said Antoine Loussot, deputy prosecutor of Lorient, in a press release.
A first attempt on their mother
One of the brothers also tried to kill their mother in Eure-et-Loir, the department where she lives. The young man was indicted for “attempted murder of an ascendant”, according to the same source.
Known to the courts for drug trafficking and theft, the twins “had been the subject of educational monitoring in this context”, added Mr. Loussot, specifying that they are also being prosecuted for heads of “criminal conspiracy”.
Both were placed in pre-trial detention, also announced the deputy prosecutor, who specified that the investigation should “determine the exact course of events and the precise involvement” of each of the brothers.
