Star of the series “Heroes”, American actress Hayden Panettiere died in mid-August, at only 36 years old. She died from a mixture of drugs and medication, we learned this Tuesday.
“The cause of death was determined to be the toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol and quetiapine,” said a statement from the medical examiner in Greenville County, South Carolina, where she died.
Fentanyl, Variety details, is a powerful synthetic opioid. 4-ANPP is a chemical intermediate that can be used in the manufacture of fentanyl. Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine known by its trade name Xanax. Methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant, a muscle relaxant. And quetiapine, an antipsychotic used for example to treat schizophrenia or bipolar disorders.
Authorities said they saw no signs of trauma that could have led to death. The death of Hayden Panettiere is therefore considered “accidental”.
After a career that began as a child, Hayden Panettiere became famous thanks to “Heroes”. She also had an important place in the series “Nashville”. In the cinema, she played in “Remember the Titans”, “Raising Helen”, “Ice Princess” and even “Scream 4”.
