Servette scuttles
Everything started well for Servette at Wankdorf. Marco Burch opened the scoring with a header in the 13th minute, then Kingstone Mutandwa doubled the lead in the 30th with a low shot.
The Genevans led 2-0 against the best attack in the championship. Alan Virginius, however, restarted YB before the break (39th), and the Bernese then stormed the opposing goal after the break. Servette resisted until the 69th minute, when Essende equalized on a return into the area. He did it again in the 83rd with a powerful header to offer victory to YB.
The Bernese remain undefeated, while the Genevans, who were coming off a 4-2 success in Thun on Wednesday, saw a good result escape them.
Sion saves a point
At Tourbillon, everything started badly for Sion. Philippe Kény converted a penalty in the 5th minute, then Fode Sylla was sent off in the 27th for having stepped on the leg of Zurich captain Lindrit Kamberi, sole forward.
The Valaisans, led and reduced to ten, did not however collapse. Before the break, they were awarded a penalty, which Winsley Boteli coolly converted to equalize. In the second half, Zurich pushed a lot, but Kény, Krasniqi, Emmanuel and their teammates wasted their opportunities. Sion held and retains a precious point.
