The late King Harald V’s sister, Princess Astrid, died on Friday at the age of 94, two weeks to the day after her brother, the Norwegian Royal Palace announced.
“The princess died today, Friday September 11, at the age of 94,” the Palace said in a statement.

On Wednesday, Astrid participated, in a wheelchair, in the funeral of her brother, Harald, who died on August 28 at the age of 89.
His public appearances had become extremely rare over time.
In August, she, like her brother, had a cardiac simulator fitted.
With her disappears the last of the three children of King Olav V, who reigned from 1957 to 1991.
The throne is occupied by Haakon VIII, 53, son of Harald and king since his death two weeks ago.
