Spaniard Pedro Acosta (KTM) won the Austrian MotoGP Grand Prix ahead of his compatriot Jorge Martin (Aprilia) while defending champion Marc Marquez (Ducati) only took fifth place on Sunday at the Red Bull Ring.
On the land of his manufacturer KTM, which he will leave at the end of the season to join Marquez at Ducati, Acosta finally obtained his first victory in the premier category the day after his fall at the end of the sprint race while he was prancing in the lead.
Martin, who won the sprint on Saturday, again achieved the good operation of the day by taking second position ahead of his Italian teammate Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) and the Japanese Ai Ogura (Aprilia-Trackhouse), who was making his comeback after missing the last two GPs due to an injury to his left thumb.
Marquez, although second on the grid, had a very complicated race but limited the damage by finishing fifth.
