Let him attack targets, but not diesel, because it causes a shortage of diesel,” declared the Republican leader in a dry tone, on the second day of his stay in Ireland, which he spent in Doonbeg, on the west coast of the country.
Donald Trump maintains a complicated relationship with Volodymyr Zelensky, to whom he tries to attribute responsibility for the surge in the price of diesel, also fueled by the conflict he triggered against Iran.
The surge in fuel prices in the United States is fueling voter resentment against the president and against the Republican Party, which fears losing control of Congress during the mid-term legislative elections in November.
