Killian Mottet has not found a buyer in the National League. Unwanted by Fribourg-Gottéron, where he was trained and played since 2013, the 35-year-old striker was loaned for a season to HC Sierre, recent Swiss League (D2) champion. The Valais club formalized the arrival of its new player this Tuesday.
This information is only half a surprise. Killian Mottet had been training since the start of summer preparation with HC Sierre and had even played several friendly matches in the Valais jersey.
During his career with Fribourg-Gottéron, the striker scored a whopping 375 points (166 goals and 209 assists) in 684 matches, making him the ninth best scorer in the club’s history. However, he was no longer wanted on the BCF Arena side.

During the 2025-2026 season, the Dragons loaned him to HC Ajoie. In Porrentruy, “Kiki” scored 20 points in 56 matches. Statistics which have not convinced any elite club to offer him a contract.
Killian Mottet already knows the Graben ice rink well. He actually wore the HC Sierre jersey 63 times during the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 seasons.
