The gap between Brad Pitt and his children seems to be widening even further. After Shiloh, Zahara and Maddox, it is now Vivienne, 18, who wants to put an end to her father’s name, according to People.
The youngest daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has petitioned the Los Angeles Superior Court to officially be called Vivienne Marcheline Jolie, removing “Pitt” from her surname. Court documents cite a “personal” motive. A hearing is set for November 2.
This decision does not come as a surprise. In May 2024, the young woman was already credited as Vivienne Jolie in the program of the musical “The Outsiders”, produced on Broadway with her mother.
Other procedures are underway
She thus joins several of her brothers and sisters. Shiloh has already won the right to remove “Pitt” from his name, while Zahara and Maddox have also taken similar steps. At the time, a relative of the actor told “People” magazine that Brad Pitt was “sad” to see his children publicly display their estrangement.
These new changes come almost ten years after the very conflictual separation of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. If their divorce was definitively pronounced at the end of 2024, the two stars still remain engaged in a legal battle around the French wine estate Château Miraval.
