Singer Kesha turns her fans’ teeth into jewelry

Kesha is definitely not a celebrity like the others. Guest of the podcast “Las Culturistas”, the 39-year-old American singer confided that she had been collecting her fans’ teeth for years. “Yes, I do. Send them to me,” she said, explaining that this strange passion was born from the attachment she has to her audience.

But teeth don’t end up in a memory box. The “Tik Tok” singer transforms them into jewelry, which she then wears. Her collection doesn’t stop there: Kesha also claims to keep wisdom teeth from cats, as well as her mother’s cooked placenta, proof of her assumed taste for the most unusual objects.

A first tooth donated by a fan

The origin of this macabre collection dates back to a conversation with a fan. He told Kesha that his child had just lost a baby tooth. Without hesitation, the singer asked him, as she recounts in the podcast: “Can I have it?” This first tooth marked the beginning of a collection that has become impressive over the years.

Today, the American popstar transforms these teeth into unusual jewelry. “I made a necklace, an earring, then a belt and a crown,” she listed. “Then I just kept collecting them, because it somehow scares straight men.” The extract from the interview, shared on social networks, sparked numerous reactions. “This not only scares men, but everyone with common sense,” commented one user.

In addition to her jewelry, Kesha found an even more unusual use for her collection. “I started putting them all over my house, in little jars,” she revealed. The “TiK ToK” singer described herself as a “popstar who needs your teeth,” believing they would otherwise be wasted. “Do you flush them down the toilet? Where do they end? Give them to me. Can I have them? “It’s neither a joke nor a show,” she assured.

Placenta “in the blender, in a collar”

At the start of the year, the musician explained that her collection, which has continued to grow since 2012, was not limited to human teeth. On Alex Cooper’s ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, she revealed: ‘I have cats who have had to have their little teeth removed. These are cat wisdom teeth. I collect them too.” She also said she transformed her mother’s placenta into a necklace.

Kesha’s mother, Rosemary, had asked doctors not to throw away her placenta after her daughter’s birth. She then brought it home, where it remained for two decades in a box in the family’s basement.

Years later, Kesha found it and made it into a piece of jewelry that she carries everywhere with her. “The placenta is believed to give second vision and help open the third eye. At least that’s what my mother says,” said the musician. About her transformation into jewelry, she added: “Into the blender, into a necklace. Finished!”.
