Zendaya once again stole the show on the red carpet. On Tuesday evening, at the American premiere of “The Odyssey” in New York, the 29-year-old actress appeared in a spectacular white dress adorned with huge angel wings. This creation from the Parisian house Matières Fécales (yes, yes, that’s the name of this haute couture line which aims to be dystopian), associated with heelless pumps by Christian Louboutin, immediately caused a sensation.
Designers Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran revealed on Instagram that Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach asked them to book the piece for her almost two years ago. They claim to have refused numerous prestigious requests so that the actress would be the first to wear it.
This appearance is part of the “method dressing” trend, which consists of dressing in line with your character. In “The Odyssey,” directed by Christopher Nolan, Zendaya plays the goddess Athena, alongside Matt Damon (Ulysses) and Tom Holland (Telemachus).
