In a documentary available since Wednesday on Netflix, Kylie Minogue reveals that she faced a second cancer five years ago. The Australian singer had already fought this same disease in 2005.
“My second cancer diagnosis came at the beginning of 2021. Unlike the first time, I was able to keep it to myself. Fortunately, I overcame the ordeal once again. Everything is fine. Who knows what the future holds, but my passion for music is greater than ever,” says Kylie Minogue.
“At one point, I didn’t even want to leave the house. My song “Padam Padam”, won at the Grammy Awards in 2023, opened a lot of doors for me, but deep down, I knew that this cancer was not just a small setback in my life. I really wanted to tell what happened so I could turn the page. Often, during interviews, I would say to myself: “It’s time,” but I ended up saying nothing each time,” she concludes.
