After five highly contested matches, two of which went to overtime, the scenario of this final was too good to end this Tuesday evening in Fribourg. The sixth act between Gottéron and Davos was again very competitive and once again ended in overtime.
The opening score of the emblematic captain of the Dragons in power play (8th) gave even more grandeur to this confrontation. 414 goals and 414 assists in 1185 matches, Julien Sprunger’s statistics are crazy. For his last match at the BCF Arena, the Fribourgeois could not dream of better!
This magnificent success almost was the only one of the match as the Davos players had long stumbled upon a once again gigantic Berra in front of his cage (33 saves). For his part, Aeschlimann also did his part by keeping his team in the match, notably with a brilliant save on Wallmark (47th).
The Graubünden, determined to win the title on Tuesday evening, did not give up and it was Knak who was able to equalize at the end of the match (57th) and send his team into overtime.
Defeated on Sunday in Davos during the first extra period, the Dragons managed to reverse the trend and win thanks to a success from Gerber. (64th)
On Thursday evening, the two teams will therefore play a decisive match for the title in Graubünden.
