Laura Smet paid tribute to her mother Nathalie Baye, who died on Saturday at the age of 77. The actress posted a photo of herself as a child on Instagram, all smiles in her mother’s arms.
“Mom,” she wrote before a red heart on Instagram. “I lost half of my heart, she was the best mother in the world. I am sending you these few words without really believing in them yet, but I wanted to thank you for all your testimonies and your words which touch me enormously. I love him so much.” And to conclude: “Take care of yourself and your loved ones, above all, it’s so precious.”
Laura Smet, 42, is the daughter that the late actress had with Johnny Hallyday.
His half-brother, David Hallyday, expressed his astonishment to him on Instagram: “It’s not possible…” Then he wanted to express his support for Laura Smet: “Laura, I love you.”
Nathalie Baye died Friday evening in her Parisian home from Lewy body disease, a neurodegenerative disease. The tributes saluting the actress, as gifted as she is loved, have multiplied since the sad announcement.
