Actress Nadia Farès was found lifeless on Saturday at the bottom of the swimming pool at the Blanche sports complex, in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. Rescued, she is in serious condition.
The 57-year-old actress was saved by other swimmers, says “Le Parisien”. But she “would have remained underwater, in a bent position, between three and four minutes.”
The swimmer who rescued her noticed that she was no longer breathing. He immediately began cardiac massage, with another man present. They also allegedly used a defibrillator.
The actress, famous for her roles in numerous thrillers and comedies, including “Les Rivières pourpres”, was then taken into the care of the emergency services and taken in absolute emergency to the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital. “According to our information, Nadia Farès was finally resuscitated but was found this Tuesday in a serious state of health, placed in an artificial coma,” writes the French daily.
The Paris public prosecutor’s office opened an investigation, entrusted to police officers from the 9th arrondissement police station. He specified to “Libération” that, “on April 12, around noon, while she was swimming at the rue Blanche swimming pool, Nadia F. was brought to the surface, unconscious, after being observed by several people in a yoga position at the bottom of the water.”
