Westminster Police Department Patrol Officers arrested Donald Ealy for Theft from Auto and Motor Vehicle Tampering

On April 4, 2024, Westminster Police Department Patrol Officers arrested Donald A. Ealy (43 YOA) based on an arrest warrant they obtained on April 3, 2024. Between March 30, 2024 and April 3, 2024, the Westminster Police Department (WPD) took thirteen (13) reports regarding theft from motor vehicle and tampering with motor vehicle in various Westminster City neighborhoods.

Based on video footage from security cameras and other corroborating evidence, WPD Officers identified Mr. Ealy as the perpetrator and applied for criminal charges through the District Court Commissioners Office. Officers recovered drug paraphernalia and trace suspected controlled dangerous substances from Mr. Ealy incident to arrest.

Mr. Ealy had previously been charged by WPD Officers with numerous similar offenses between 2021 and 2022 and was recently released from incarceration. He is currently awaiting a bail review scheduled for April 5, 2024.

Community Members are reminded to lock their vehicles and to not store valuables in unattended vehicles as this is often a crime of opportunity.

  • Malicious Destruction of Property Less Than $100 — 2 Counts
  • Tampering with Motor Vehicle — 12 Counts
  • Entering Motor Vehicle with Malicious Intent — 12 Counts
  • Rouge and Vagabond — 13 Counts
  • Possession of CDS Paraphernalia / CDS — 1 Count
