Greg Malveaux (candidate for Board of Education in Carroll County in 2024) held an event in Hampstead (Greenmount Station) on the morning of January 22nd. I would estimate that between 20 and 25 people attended the event.

Greg had a number of elected officials in attendance:

  • Senator Justin Ready
  • Delegate Nino Mangione
  • Delegate Chris Tomlinson
  • Commission Kenny Kiler
  • Clerk of Circuit Court in Carroll County Heather DeWees
  • Carroll County BOE Member Marsha B. Herbert
  • Carroll County BOE Member Steve Whisler

Commissioner Kenny Kiler provided an endorsement of Greg for Board of Education:

Greg then spoke briefly about two of his opponents in 2024 following up on comments from Commissioner Kiler:

Greg then gave his prepared speech to the crowd at the event:

The Observer was invited and attended the event in order to capture some videos (above) and a few photos from the event for the community.

The hope is that The Observer will be invited to attend additional events in the future to cover the various candidates running for Board of Education in Carroll County in 2024.

There is never enough coverage of these local races from the “major” media outlets and the hope is that this entity can provide some of that coverage for our community.
