Cynthia A. McCabe Named Finalist for Superintendent of Carroll County Public Schools

The Board of Education of Carroll County is pleased to announce that Cynthia A. McCabe has been selected as the finalist for Superintendent of Schools. Mrs. McCabe has served in the position of Chief of Schools since 2019. She has a total of 28 years in education, with 21 years in Carroll County Public Schools.

Today Mrs. McCabe is meeting with several focus groups representing stakeholders from the school system, local government, and the community. She also will be meeting with members of the Board of Education later in the day.

The Board of Education expects to name the new Superintendent of Schools at a special Board meeting on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Board offices at 125 North Court Street in Westminster.
