Announced on May 6th:
The Board of Education of Carroll County is pleased to announce that it has selected a finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools. On Monday, May 9, 2022, a finalist will be meeting with several focus groups representing the stakeholders below:
- County Commissioners and members of the Carroll County Delegation
- Principals and Central Office staff
- Student Representative to the Board of Education, middle and high school Student Government Association presidents
- Employee Bargaining Units
- Parents
This is not a meeting of the Board of Education, and the participants are by invitation only.
The Board of Education expects to name the new Superintendent of Schools at a special Board meeting on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Board offices at 125 North Court Street in Westminster.

The Board of Education will briefly convene in open session on Monday, May 9, at 6 p.m. at the Board offices to move into closed session promptly at 6 p.m., as permitted by the Maryland Open Meetings Act, to conduct a dinner interview.
