They had managed to keep the secret for over a year. Sophia Bush, known for her role as Brooke Davis in the “Scott Brothers” and Ashlyn Harris, double world soccer champion with the United States, revealed in an interview with “Vogue” that they were married in the summer of 2025. A union celebrated with the greatest discretion, in upstate New York.
Far from the big Hollywood ceremonies, the two Americans favored an intimate and family wedding. The children of the former footballer were particularly at the heart of this day. “The children were running around, happy, and we picked flowers in the garden. Our daughter Sloane held them in her hands,” says Ashlyn Harris.
Above all, the couple wanted to preserve a relaxed atmosphere. “It was a very pleasant moment for them because it was not a stressful day, too intense for young children,” continues the former American international.
“You are my wife”
For Sophia Bush, this marriage also represented a way of giving a new dimension to their relationship. The actress notably no longer wanted to have to present Ashlyn Harris as her simple companion during her public appearances.
