Love stories usually end badly. According to the magazine “Voici”, the one between Charlotte Casiraghi and Nicolas Mathieu, which lasted for two years, has ended. According to our colleagues, it was the Princess of Monaco who was at the origin of the breakup, a decision which was taken at the end of this summer.
Grace Kelly’s granddaughter apparently wanted a child, but the Lorraine author, winner of the Goncourt Prize in 2018 with “Their Children After Them” did not share the same desire. A difference of points of view which would have weakened the couple, according to “Voici”.
Reunions in Paris and the Vosges
For two years, the two lovebirds managed to live in harmony despite their great difference in social background. They shared the same love for philosophy and literature – Charlotte Casiraghi founded and chairs the “Monaco Philosophical Meetings”. The two lovers met in particular in Paris or in the Vosges, where the author is from.
Charlotte Casiraghi has two children: Raphaël (12 years old), born from her love affair with the comedian Gad Elmaleh, and Balthazar (7 years old), born from her marriage to the producer Dimitri Rassam. Nicolas Mathieu has a 13-year-old son, Oscar, of whom he shares custody with his mother, from whom he is now separated.
